LESLIE B. DISHAROON

1932-2023

Mr. Disharoon retired in December 1988 as Chairman, President, and CEO of Monumental Corporation, a life insurance company, where he was employed from 1977 to 1988. Mr. Disharoon was affiliated with Connecticut Mutual Life Insurance Co. from 1960 to 1977 serving as General Agent, Vice President, and Senior Vice President. He was a director of Travelers Property Casualty Co. and has served as a director of Citigroup, Preston Corporation, GRC International, First National Bank, Constellation Holdings, Inc., Baltimore Gas and Electric Co., Mercantile Hedge Funds, Mercantile Funds, Inc., Aegon, USA, Inc., VNBTrust, N.A., and Virginia National Bank.  He served as Board Chairman of Goucher College and Johns Hopkins Health System Endowment Inc. and was on the boards of Johns Hopkins Hospital, Garrison Forest School, and Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, and the University of Virginia Student Aid Foundation. Les earned a B.A. from Brown University and a MBA from Columbia.
